Global Moravian Fellowship Comes Alive

World Fellowship of Moravian Revival Churches was given birth, February 24, 2018, in the heart of Africa near Nairobi, Kenya. Four Moravian bishops with co-leadership by Bishop Emmaus Mwamakula and Bishop Nicholson led the global organizational efforts for an “undefiled and evangelical movement”. The bishops shown in purple attire (in the front row of photo from left to right) are Bishop Emmaus Mwamakula – Tanzania, Bishop Paul Kabaiya – Kenya, Bishop William Nicholson – United States, and Bishop Odongo Mario Arabous – Uganda.  Along with the Bishops, the Superintendent of Allied Mission Church in the Philippines and Cambodia, Rev. George Lee, participated in discussion leading to this historic event. This movement is a fellowship of over 70 Moravian churches from seven nations including the Philippines, Cambodia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, United States, and with three churches under UAMM in Honduras.

NOTE:  This is a Progress Report by Bishop William H. Nicholson, Senior Pastor of AncMC and President of United Alaska Moravian Ministry Group to the Anchorage Moravian Church Congregation, February 11, 2018, 6 pm:   Abraham George, one of UAMM’s Evangelists and Prophetic speakers, telephoned me today, February 11, 2018! He said that God told him to tell me that I needed to give a “Progress Report”, and then he said, “God says – you will know what this means!”   Before this call, I had just finished preparation for a message/sermon on the Anchorage Moravian Church stand against false prophets; against the Jezebel Spirit; and stand against gay clergy in the pulpit. I wanted to speak on the need for all of us to practice a Christ-like holy lifestyle. I was going to share that we are not only an undefiled Church that stands against deceivers in the world and against apostasy, but our aim is to win the lost souls. I was actually thinking of a “sleeping giant waking up”, before I received that phone call, today!   Abraham George, “Iply” again related to me that he heard God say two words – “Progress Report”. He asked me, … Continue reading

AncMC Pastor and Elders Report 2017

Note: AncMC remains under supervison of UAMM. Here are some excerpts from the AncMC Pastor and Elders Report 2017 given at the Church Council meeting held on January 14, 2018: Pastor and Elder’s 2017 Report January 14, 2018 A big welcome to the 17th annual membership meeting of the Anchorage Moravian Church (AncMC) since it’s organization in 2001. It’s been another busy year serving the Lord, but one that experienced some big bumps and dips in the road. Our Church has always been a Church turned outward to fulfill the Great Commission, to send missionaries, and to plant Churches. This is a strong point in our Church Bylaws, which needs to be amended to reflect and clarify this vision and to strengthen Christ’s agenda (not ours) of moving forward in unity, love, and fruitfulness for the Kingdom of God. In 2017 there has been a bit of turmoil felt in our Church because we have been so effective in growing Christ’s Kingdom. In spite of this we feel God is still in complete control. What we have experienced, together, is a time of extreme purging so that good fruits will remain. And out of this is emerging a glorious Church … Continue reading

Is there Dissension and Division in Your Church?

Note:  This article is for any UAMM Church or Fellowship Experiencing Dissension and Division. A developing Commentary by Bishop William Nicholson Just a word of love and caution that if anyone has a grievance in the Church, one must not deal with it publically. This is a big error that creates turmoil and God will deal with these persons. God is the perfect judge. The proper procedure is not to deal with Church related issues especially regarding discipline publically such as in social media. Bring your issues to the pastor of the local Church and/or Elder. If the issue needs to be brought to the Elders Board, it is again brought in total confidence. If the problem is not resolved there then one can go to the Joint Board, and the final solution is the General Membership Meeting of the Church Council. This process is scriptural and is a clearly presented as our guide in the Moravian Covenant for Christian Living. I would like to thank the Rev. Bob Monette, a pastor of New Fire for giving me food for thought as he shared with me, today, what Paul says in the book of Romans. The reference I am now … Continue reading

AncMC Annual Membership Meeting January 14, 2018 A Blessing

In what is seen as an outpouring of support for the Anchorage Moravian Church over 40 to 50 percent of the members showed up for the January 14, 2018 annual meeting of the Anchorage Moravian Church (AncMC) membership. This meeting was held at the Guest House at 330 E. 4th Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska. The meeting opened with singing and prayer led by Pastor Ron Moo, Interim Pastor of the AncMC. Bishop Nicholson, sitting next to Pastor Moo, mentioned the importance of thanksgiving and praise. Pastor Fred Nielsen opened the meeting with a passionate prayer for the Holy Spirit to guide and direct the annual meeting of the Membership. Co-Chairs of the annual meeting were Pastor Ron Moo with Bishop William Nicholson who as President of United Alaska Moravian Ministry (UAMM) assured the meeting ran by the Roberts Rules of Order in line with UAMM’s protocols. Reason for Bishop Nicholson presence was the UAMM takeover of the AncMC in December 3, 2017 to assure that unity, love, and peace resumes after what was seen as a season of turmoil by an illegal Executive Committee takeover of the AncMC program that began in the Church in autumn of 2017. Executive Committees in … Continue reading
