Rev Frederick Nielsen Sr message Friday night Ministry on UAMM:
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came and spoke with them, (the disciples), saying, all authority has been given to me in Heaven and earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 20 teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And remember I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.
Acts 1:8 Jesus said to them, but ye shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is come upon you. And you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
This is Christ’s Great Commission This is the Call of all Christians and the reason why United Alaska Moravian Ministries (UAMM) exists! We are compelled by Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations. Reaching the lost is a cause for which we are willing to go to the ends of the earth—this is no small task
So, what do we need to do to accomplish this task?
We need to work together. Completing the Great Commission will require the mobilization of every fully devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the Anchorage Moravian Church and all the other Churches under UAMM are committed to developing a Christ-centered, Acts 1:8, family. We are a Living Church, a family of believers, we uphold each other in the faith, bring comfort when needed, celebrate life together, and combine resources to accomplish God’s work. We can do much more together than we can do apart. We do things in community, relating to each other in ways that honor Christ and build up His Kingdom.
This gives us opportunity to share the message of Christ’s saving love. We make it a priority to establish churches so that those who come to Christ will have the support and discipleship of a Church Family
That is the challenge UAMM is giving to believers. And that is what will make UAMM in Alaska one of the most effective missions organizations the world has ever known.
Love is not optional for Christians. We who have experienced the great love of the Father, who wants to share His love with others. Today, UAMM is caring for the established Churches, as well as Churches started under UAMM. This gives us opportunity to share the message of Christ’s saving love. We make it a priority to establish churches so that those who come to Christ will have the support and discipleship of a Church Family
Funding this work is no small task. It takes money and effort and Through the generous and sacrificial giving of committed believers everywhere, workers are sent to fulfill this calling of Jesus in all the earth. Consider joining us in our desire to do God’s Will and obey His Command in Acts 1:8
